Dolly de Leon meets Cate Blanchett, Jennifer Coolidge and more during awards season
January has been a long month for many, but for Dolly de Leon, it was filled with glitz and glamor as she picked up nominations for prestigious awards left and right.
The Filipina actress was the first Filipina to be nominated as Best Supporting Actress in the Golden Globes for her work in the film “Triangle of Sadness.” She also made similar history in the BAFTA Film Awards.
On Instagram, Dolly looked back on her experience of the awards season so far and shared several photos of her meeting her fellow talented actors across the world.
“Closing January and the crazy ride that came along with it with these sensational people,” she said.
“I have so much to be grateful for as I couldn’t have done any of it alone. Certainly not without the committed people in the beginning and end of this series,” she added. “And every soul in between whose warmth has made my journey complete. On to Feb!”
In one photo, she appeared to be chatting with Cate Blanchett (“Tar”) in a bathroom.
In a video with no audio, Dolly also met Sebastian Stan (“Pam & Tommy”) and shook hands with him.
She also had photos of meeting Bill Nighy (“Living”), Ke Huay Kuan (“Everything Everywhere All At Once”), and Jennifer Coolidge (“The White Lotus”).
Dolly missed out on an Oscars nomination, but director Edgar Wright (“Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World”) said he would still write Dolly’s name on the ballot for Best Supporting Actress at the Oscars.
Dolly attended the Golden Globe Awards on January 11. The BAFTAs will be held on February 20 (Manila time).
