Angelica Panganiban Said, Her Daughter Didn’t Cry During Her Baptism, ‘Ako Yung Naiyak’
On February 4, Angelica Panganiban and her fiance Gregg Homan held the baptism or #BEANyag of their first-born daughter Amila Sabine at the Santuario de San Antonio Parish in Makati City.
Some of Bean’s godparents were Judy Ann Santos, Cherry Pie Picache, Bela Padilla, Kim Chiu, Glaiza de Castro, and Direk Andoy Ranay.
“Welcome to mommy duties my love. Dito lang ako lagi alam mo naman na yan,” Judy Ann reminded Angge.

Glaiza, meanwhile likened the celebration to a reunion, “Feeling ko grand reunion homecoming tapos yung mga kaklase mo may bitbit ng mga cute na bata.”
She added, “Welcome sa masaya at magulong mundo Amila, pero andito kaming mga ninong at ninang mo para alalayan ka. Kahit pa minsan hindi umaabot sa oras, pero darating para samahan ka. Mahal ka namin. Happy #BeanYag.”

In a video shared by director Lauren Dyogi on Instagram, Angelica shared, “Hindi lang ito binyag, special din itong araw na ito dahil exactly one year ago, nalaman namin na buntis ako. And itong araw na ito, kahapon February 3, birthday ni Mama.” The couple announced their pregnancy publicly on March 20 last year.
Direk Lauren, who’s also among Amila’s godparents said, “Parang kelan lang si Angelica pa ang baby namin sa set ng AngTV and my only horror movie, “Magandang Hatinggabi.” Ngayon Ninong na ako sa unang baby nya na si Amila Sabine. Thank you Angel and Gregg for this honor of being godfather to your first born. Nakapagandang bata.”
One of the guests, Pia Dysangco Villamor, shared an Instagram story on Angelica getting emotional about her four-month-old daughter receiving her first sacrament.
She pointed out that Amila didn’t cry during the blessing with water like most babies do. Angge meanwhile said, “Ako yung naiyak.”

When it comes to baptism souvenirs, padede mom Angge gave out bottles of red wine with Amila’s cute milk-drunk face plastered on them.
