TV5, ABS-CBN boost primetime TV with new shows
The groundbreaking collaboration between media giants TV5 and ABS-CBN makes 2023 even more jam-packed and action-filled with the domination of primetime TV by star-studded programs like Dirty Linen and the much-awaited return of Coco Martin in FPJ’s Batang Quiapo, in commemoration of Fernando Poe Jr.’s 18th Death Anniversary.
Dirty Linen, which premiered on TV5 on January 23, stars Janine Gutierrez and Zanjoe Marudo with an all-star ensemble cast led by John Arcilla, Joel Torre, Janice De Belen, Francine Diaz, and Seth Fedelin, under the direction of Onat Diaz and Andoy Ranay. This gripping story “stained by lies, washed by truth, and handled with care” is sure to captivate Filipino audiences, leaving them wanting for more.
Meanwhile, Coco Martin teams up with Dreamscape Entertainment and FPJ’s daughter, Lovi Poe, for a promising, action-packed, and timeless small screen adaption of the beloved FPJ film.
Joining the cast of FPJ’s Batang Quiapo are Lito Lapid, Christopher De Leon, Susan Africa, John Estrada, Pen Medina, Cherry Pie Picache, Benzon Dalina, Mark Lapid, Ronwaldo Martin, Ping Medina, Mercedes Cabral, Alan Paule, and Tommy Abuel. The show will be headed and directed by Martin and Malu Sevilla, set to air on TV5 this year.
