PRICE ALERT: These Grocery Items Will Get A Price Increase This Month

The next time you’re going to the grocery, you might want to adjust your budget! According to a report from ABS-CBN News on February 6, 2023, a group of supermarket operators, announced that several non-essential grocery items see a price increase this month.

According to the Philippine Amalgamated Supermarkets Association group president Steven Cua, the price hike will cover select imported sugared ready-to-drink beverages, wine, ice cream, halo-halo mix, powdered milk, canned pork, and canned meat. Prices of select beauty products, powder detergent, and cleansers are also set to increase.

Here are the grocery items that will see a price hike:

  • Imported sugared ready-to-drink beverages = 10%
  • Wine = 10 to 11%
  • Ice Cream = 8%
  • Halo-halo mix = 8%
  • Powder Milk = 4 to 8%
  • Canned Pork = 6%
  • Canned Tuna = 5 to 6%
  • Canned Fried Sardines = 2%
  • Beauty products = 10%
  • Powder detergent = 6 to 8%
  • Cleanser = 3 to 8%
