Cysts are fluid filled spaces that can form in many body parts. Liver cysts are common and usually there are no symptoms. Most often a person finds they have one or more liver cysts when they have an abdominal ultrasound or CT scan done for some other reason. If a cyst became very large or ruptured, a person could experience pain in the right upper part of the abdomen, just below the rib cage
